THE WORLD'S GREATEST WORKING TRUCKS: THE BEST OF THE NORTHEAST

The World's Greatest Working Trucks: The Best Of The Northeast
celebrates "Mack Country" but has plenty of gorgeous Petes and KWs
too. The cover truck and other pages commemorate 9/11, which shook
the country just as this book was underway. The Northeast has color
and vistas unmatched anywhere in the country, and Johnson has taken
advantage of these to capture another volume of beautiful
photography. A bonus section has 20 antiques from The Golden Age Of
Trucking Museum in Connecticut!

At just the right time of year, Earl Johnson took this photo of David
and Jane Board's 2001 Peterbilt tractor and 2001 Heil trailer.
The fall foliage in the Hudson River Valley brings people from all
over the country, but matching All Aboard Transport, Inc's truck's
blues with the red leafy background makes this a gorgeous photo.

One of The Golden Age Of Trucking Museum's great antiques is this
1963 MACK B61 with an interesting history. When R.J. Guerrera, Inc.
acquired the operating authority of Oil Transport, the B61 was an
asset included in the transaction. R.J. Guerrera did not use this
tractor, instead selling it locally. Many years later in 1985, Dick
Guerrera happened to spot the Mack while riding through Waterbury.
It had not been run for some time and was not in good condition. A
purchase agreement was made, and the B61 was brought back to the
yard, where it was eventually restored to this magnificent state.

A truck enthusiast to the core, Jeff Benvenuto is a familiar face at
truck shows throughout the Northeast, and never misses the
Mid-America Truck Show in Louisville each year. Jeff says, "The
truck shows provide me with the opportunity to talk shop with people
from all over the Northeast and beyond, and I enjoy the competition
too." In the pages of the great new LPI book are 4, count 'em 4, of
Benvenuto's Macks, all dressed to kill.
